Gabe Sheir, Board Member

Gabe Sheir just joined the board in 2026. Originally from Vermont, Gabe was a camper and counselor for almost ten years. After almost eight years abroad working in international education, Gabe returned to the United States and has been excited to give back to a place that deeply shaped him. Gabe is currently based in Indiana but spends three months out of the year abroad meeting with students, families, and guidance counselors as they navigate the college process. He is always eager to return to Vermont and is dedicated to ensuring that all young people have access to the same opportunities for a wonderful summer that he did at Camp Downer.
