Luke Burton, Operations Director

Luke Burton has been roaming the Downer Forest for two decades. In that time, he was a camper, has worked as a counselor, village leader, program head, staff mentor, and Wrench Boy. He is now the Operations Director – working to keep camp running safely and smoothly all the way from the Dining Hall to the farthest corners of the Pond. He holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College. His debut poetry collection, Levi & Sage, is forthcoming from “Changes Editions” (NYC) in 2027.
